OPTIONAL ADD-ONS
For the second year, we are offering a handful of exciting add-ons. The small additional cost for these unique experiences is passed directly to our village partners. It’s up to your group to decide of you’d like to opt in for any or all.
The add-ons include:
Riding horses (vs touring) from the village up to the yurts. All of your gear will be portered by horses regardless, you just need to decide if you'd like to ride or tour. The distance is approximately 6km.
Watching a traditional match of Kok Boru (headless goat polo) in the fields outside of the village after you ride out from the yurts. Not for the fainthearted but definitely something you'll never forget! There is a fake goat option if you aren’t comfortable with a real goat slaughter.
Visiting with Berkutchi, or traditional eagle hunters, along the south shore of Lake Issyk-Kul on your way back to Bishkek.
Just let us know what, if anything, you would like to add on!
