Originally from Québec, Canada, Xavier (Xav) has been skiing since he was three and ski racing since he was eight. Passionate about skiing, climbing and mountaineering, he made the move out to Squamish, British Columbia in 2010 and has skied all over the province since. Xav's experience working as tail guide for Monashee Powder Snowcats during the winter of 2016-17 and as our tail guide in Georgia and Kyrgyzstan from 2018-20 emboldened him to pursue full certification through the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides. Now officially an Association of Canadian Mountain Guides Apprentice Ski Guide, and hugely inspired by 40 Tribes' emphasis on cultural exploration and exchange and not just powder turns, we anticipate having Xav out front on trips to come.
